BREAKFAST AND BRUNCH

Highlights of our breakfast menu include a delectable English Breakfast, with juicy bacon, sizzling sausages and succulent mushrooms. Treat your tastebuds and try our Nutella pancakes topped with juicy berries and sweet maple syrup. Or go healthy and save on calories but never flavour with our divine Maple Crunch: a wonderful serving of yoghurt topped with crunchy granola, fresh fruit and tangy mint. Fancy brunch and feeling exotic?

Try our Bombay Brunch with scrambled eggs, edamame beans and fine goat cheese. Looking for something to cure that hangover? We’ve got you covered: dig into our tender pulled pork, accompanied by sausages, bacon, fried eggs and crispy onions.

LUNCH AND DINNER

Traditional dishes

San Giovanni prides itself in its traditional Maltese dishes. As you sit in front of the cathedral with possibly one of the most impressive marble floors in all the world, you can literally tuck into more local culture as your savour some of our traditional local dishes. You’re spoilt for choice and some of our favourites include the tasty stuffed rabbit served with Maltese sausage and our signature rabbit jus. Or you could try our mouthwatering homemade bragioli: thin slices of tender meat stuffed with seasoned minced beef. We’re extremely proud of our local goat’s cheese ravioli that are a delectable blend of tangy cheese with flavoursome pasta.

Crudi Stars on our menu are the Crudi Della Casa, think Italian-style sashimi: finely cut raw meat, seasoned to mouthatering perfect with a variety of appetising oils, flakey salts and enticing balsamic vinegars. Choose from dishes with irresistible prawns, oysters, salmon, caviar and langoustines.

Pasta

Our pasta dishes are treats on both the eyes and the palette. Savour our signature dish – Linguine Volcano – featuring prawn bisque, cuttlefish ink sauce and calamari. There is something to suit all tastes in our pasta dishes, whose accompaniments range from seafood, to classic meat sauces and truffles, and that special Linguine Pistacchio Burrata e Guancale.

Pizza

Cooked in a wood-fired oven, our pizzas embody the art and tradition of pizza-making in its purest form. Our wide variety of pizzas feature toppings that reflect both your typical pizza as well as something local and authentic. Feeling cultural? You can sink your teeth into our San Giovanni, Valletta or Cattedrale pizza. These three pizzas are topped with a mouthwatering variety of creamy mozzarella fior di latte and burrata, with a choice of exquisite truffle cream, parma ham or pistachio cream.

Meat and Fish

From succulent lamb rump to grain-fed beef and Argentinian rib-eye, our meat dishes are a feast of bold flavours. Our fresh fish and seafood dishes, prepared with care, guarantee unparalleled quality and taste.

Other highlights include the playful Negroni Sbagliato, blending campari, sweet vermouth and prosecco and the zesty Green Sour, featuring midori, lemon and lime juice and simple syrup.
